It tried to measure the following value with CT.

Distance to the center of the right Condyle from the surface of the right skin. (RS-RC) (mm)

Left-right distance between the condyle. (RC-LC) (mm)

Distance to the surface of the left skin from the center of the left Condyle. (LC-LS) (mm)

Distance between the surfaces of the left-right skin. (RS-LS) (mm)

The rate of RS-RC toward RS-LS.(RS-RC/RS-LS) (%)

The rate of RC-LC toward RS-LS.(RC-LC/RS-LS) (%)

Data are these. 41 Male, 41 Female.

When it mounted by using these data in the Articulator, we judged it for the next reason by applying these data to the clinical case and mattering.

1, The error of 1mm are out of question in the clinical case.

2, A condyle of mandible has an angle with the oval shape, but the condylar ball of the Articulator should be a ball.

3, A distance between the condyle of mandibles varies according to the individual, but, the distance between the condylar ball of the Articulator is to be regulated with 110mm.

4, When it mounted based on these data in the Articulator, this almost aligns with the position of the incisal edge of the upper jaw model which did a facebow transfer.

Actually, I tried to mount respectively from the center of the condylar ball of the Articulator from 20mm ,22mm , and 25mm.

It was the position of 25mm that aligned with the Bonwill's triangle of the Articulator most as a result.

In other words, I thought that the Bonwill's triangle of the Articulator corresponded to the patient's own Bonwill's triangle from the viewpoint of similarity.

Therefore, I am using the value of 25mm at present.

I am grateful to Prof. Kimio Sakamaki and the staff of the Department of Dental Radiology, Faculty of Dentistry, Iwate Medical University, for helpful advice and technical instruction.
